Research Interests

My research lies in the broad area of fluid mechanics and thermal engineering. We employ experimental, analytical, and computational approaches to investigate a range of thermo-fluids engineering problems. These include microfluidics, electrohydrodynamics, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and energy conversion systems. Much of our work is supported by in-house developed experimental setups tailored for specific applications. We also build custom computational codes to simulate and analyze complex thermo-fluids phenomena. My research group is involved in both fundamental research and industrial consulting, bridging theory with real-world applications. I am a recepient of the Early Career Research Award by IIT Delhi in recognition of the research done after joining IIT Delhi.

Teaching

I have taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the area of thermofluids engineering, including engineering thermodynamics, advanced thermodynamics, experimental methods, computational heat transfer, gas dynamics, and microfluidics. I have put a significant effort into developing new experimental setups for the teaching laboratories, such as wind tunnel, particle image velocimetry (PIV), LabView based data-acquisition, and various microfluidics experiments. I was also awarded the Teaching Excellence Award by IIT Delhi in 2018. The following lectures are available for free:
